About eldership of Babtai

On the left bank of Nevėžio, 24 km north of Kaunas, by the highway

a drop in which people's deeds, their sufferings and destinies shine. How

  tomorrow", wrote the poet Justinas Marcinkevičius to the visitors of the Babtė Museum
  in the feedback book.
As early as 1792 Babtai received the rights of a free city (unfortunately, by the same

St. Peter's keys.
There are 39 villages in the territory of Babtų precinct. The second largest settlement is Panevėžiukas, other villages are much smaller.
